Thank you is not quite enough

i can't say thank you enough to all the angels out there that donated to our Mothers Day Purse Drive.  We managed to gather over 500 purses again for our 2nd Purse Drive. We are excited to announce that due to the popular demand for purses and the amount of people that want to participate we have decided to make Purse Donations continuous throughout the year. Excited to say we are overflowing with purses. We are also happy to announce that we are moving forward with application to turn this great organization into a 501C. We will keep you posted on our progress. We are growing fast and are so excited to empower other women to lift the spirits of women in need.

Arbor Day Celebration

Today I participated in the Arbor Day Celebration at Alice Costello Elementary. The 3rd grade class had a very important guest reader today and they planted a tree in front of the school. I love seeing the students so interested in trees and how they are important to our environment.

The best compliment I could receive

I have always said that the universe gives you what you put out. Last week the universe brought an amazing new patient my way. I happened to notice that he works for Character Lab in Philadelphia. I shared with him that my husband and I are volunteers with the Travis Manion Foundation and that we give "Character Does Matter" presentations. We spoke a lot that day about the importance of character development in children and the importance of people like us out there assisting in development of character. If Jim and I can help 1 child each presentation the day is a success. At the end of our visit together the patient told me that he works with Angela Duckworth the author of Grit and he was going to bring me a special gift, and to keep doing what I'm doing. He returned the next day with an autographed copy and the best compliment I could have received. Keep doing what your doing and stay gritty!  The book is a life changer, I highly reccomend it.
